ISWC 2025 CONFERENCE ORGANIZED BY THE EMPLOYEES PROVIDENCE FUND (EPF) IN COLLABORATION WITH THE UNGKU AZIZ DEVELOPMENT STUDIES CENTRE (UAC)
The Malaysian government, through the Ministry of Economy, has set a target of zero extreme poverty by the end of 2025 as part of its national commitment to strengthening the well-being of the people. To realise this goal, the Malaysian Extreme Poverty Eradication Programme (BMTKM) was launched and the University of Malaya, through the Ungku Aziz Centre for Development Studies (UAC), has been tasked with leading the implementation of this programme at the academic and community levels.
Looking at the quality of the products and the positive response received, UAC has identified participants who show high potential to be featured in the corporate market. This effort received encouragement when the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) once again expressed interest in collaborating in further marketing the products of IBMT participants through a special project in conjunction with the EPF ISWC 2025 Conference .
The EPF has expressed interest in obtaining quality and healthy products such as mixed nuts from IBMT participants. Through this collaboration, exclusive nut products produced by IBMT participants will be used as official souvenirs for participants, panels, and conference guests. In addition, UAC is also given space to open an exhibition booth throughout the conference for promotional purposes, increased visibility, and building strategic networks with industry players. This initiative not only opens up marketing opportunities for IBMT participants, but also strengthens UAC's position as a leading player in efforts to eradicate poverty sustainably through an integrated approach between academia, the community, and the corporate sector.
