In Loving Memory of Professor Dr. Martin Ravallion, The Second Holder of the Royal Professor Ungku Aziz Chair

It is with great sadness that we want to inform that Professor Dr. Martin Ravallion, the Second Holder of the Royal Professor Ungku Aziz Chair had passed away on 24 December 2022. 

During his career, Professor Martin has contributed greatly towards reducing global poverty and is well known as a great scholar in development economics.

As the Chairholder, Professor Martin has also made significant contributions to the field of Poverty and Development Studies in Malaysia. 

A great loss of a great scholar, may his work be continued by future generations.
